Report for September 24
by Levi, Grade 7
Today we went to work at place where there are people who actually care about the environment and do all sorts of crazy things to protect it. Today we worked on digging a trench for apple rootstock to be planted. The trench was already about 3 - 5 inches deep and the people there said it had to be 10 more inches deep. To me 10 more inches seems way too deep but when we finished I thought it looked pretty good. When it was time to go we went back to the shed to put our tools away.
Report for September 17 by Mrs. Yutzy
Today we got the special treat of visiting another New Community Project site; this time at the Salvation Army. There, we met a mother and son, both from Congo. They showed us a garden that they developed which features plants native to Congo. It was so fun to learn about the new plants and to give some of them a taste. We hope you enjoy these pictures of our work-look for future service learning reports coming from 7th Grade in the future!
